  6. Two  big  parties  have been organized
  7. this  fall,  by two of the most famous
  8. groups  of  the scene.  Actually, both
  9. turned out to be a biiig failure...
  10.  
  11. Melon Dezign's
  12.  
  13. birthday party

  15.  
  16. The   first  one  was  Melon  Dezign's
  17. Birthday party, with quite nice prizes
  18. and   good  facilities.   The  biggest
  19. problem  was  the  date  of the party.
  20. How  can someone organize a party from
  21. Tuesday   to   Thursday  on  a  normal
  22. work-week?!

  24. All  in  all,  the  party  was quite a
  25. crap, just look at the releases:

  27. - 2 musics
  28. - 3 pictures
  29. - 1 (one) small AGA intro from Balance
  30. - NO (0;zero) demos
  31.  
  32. Well,  Balance  was  extremely  lucky.
  33. The  competition  was  hard,  but they
  34. managed to be the first...

  39. OK,  let's  hear  about  this  from  a
  40. friend  of ours, who had the infortune
  41. to  visit this party...  He is Lord of
  42. S!P and VSN.
  43.  
  44. It  was  Friday,  5th  of November....
  45. Yesterday,  I  (LORD) flew 00km from
  46. Hungary  to meet most of my friends at
  47. the  WoC  in  Cologne.   I was glad to
  48. hear  that they will be also there.  I
  49. stayed  at  PLACID´s  place which lies
  50. about  100km  from  Cologne.   But  on
  51. Friday  afternoon, at 2 o´clock we got
  52. a    phonecall   from   Decadence   of
  53. Vision...    He   said  the  party  is
  54. cancelled...   We  got  a  shock.   We
  55. couldn´t believe this news...  A party
  56. would  have  been  canceled, which was
  57. organised by one of the famoust groups
  58. &  it was sure already for more than 3
  59. months?! So after we lost our shock we
  60. tried  to  check  this  news..   So we
  61. tried  to reach the organisers, but of
  62. course  none was at home.  At least we
  63. could  reach  ACE  of  Damian who also
  64. told  us  about  the cancelling...  We
  65. couldn't   imagine  it,  that  such  a
  66. famous  group  like TSL would canceled
  67. the  party,  but  Decadence  called us
  68. again,  and he said in details why TSL
  69. did it :

  81. -  First  of  all the hall should have
  82. cost  000  DM...   But after all the
  83. price  had  grew  up to 000 DM & the
  84. sponsor (Commodore) didn´t want to pay
  85. the  money  for it...  The guyz behind
  86. the  party  knew  this news already on
  87. Monday,  but they started to spread it
  88. just  on  THURSDAY!!!   (I didn´t know
  89. how  did  they  think  that  the WHOLE
  90. SCENE  would  get this news in ONE !!!
  91. day??!!!) So lots of dudes went to the
  92. WOC for boozing a bit, but they had to
  93. travel  back  to  their  hometowns  at
  94. Saturday  evening...   (or - like me -
  95. should  wait  for  their  planes which
  96. started  just  on  Monday) so, we were
  97. very  disappointed...   I  hope  there
  98. won´t be a party like this anymore.
